Hi

Having been watching on for a long time as an avid wif player but waiting for net play before needing to update my computer. Any news on when this will be up and running?

Cheers

Phil

I read some posts, looks like it is not fixed yet, I think.

Hi Phil,

We've made a lot of progress, but we're not there yet. NetPlay remains the highest priority for us, but there are also other issues to address. Right now we're on an update per week schedule and we plan to continue that for a while yet, until we see that we've reached a critical mass point where the issues are much more rare or affecting far fewer players.

Steve is right now focused on investigating some reported naval combat issues that may be affecting both solitaire and NetPlay and he's also working on naval and air combat issues for NetPlay.

Thanks to Steve's diligent work, overall the reported issues (either through the automated reporting system or manual reports in the forum and via e-mail) have decreased both in number and in terms of unique issues. We're seeing a smaller set of issues as time goes on and each fix seems to be addressing quite a few reports. Hopefully that will continue and we'll see some long-running NetPlay games without issues in the near future, but right now there are still more issues to address.

Regards,

- Erik

Erik,
Thanks for being honest. Given that my current status is "floating about on a boat in the Pacific" where there are very few WiF gamers, I'm going to need NetPlay. I would love to know when it's ready for general use. Keep up the good work.
