It actually creates an interesting tactical play option. Sure it "breaks" the C3 cycle mechanic, but if you play with limited orders you are still stuck with that. It provides a bit of flexibility, provided you haven't used all your orders already, but you can only order so many units. With the appropriate counterbalance in place it could work quite well. Give the player a 1 shot "break" they can use at any time during the "action" phase of a given scenario. The player can use any remaining orders they have. Basically the HQ is broadcasting in the clear on every channel they have access to, to get out last ditch orders. The opposing side automatically get the location of the main HQ, and potentially an off map strike of some kind (artillery, rockets, air, etc.) A regimental/divisional/etc (depending on the scale being played) HQ is going to be something that the army as a whole is going to try to destroy. Just a thought. I love the current C3 mechanic and think it works great, but this created a new twist on it potentially. -Jenrick
