Hi,

I just want to tell you about my current game. There is something happens, that is very new for me :)
I play the X-Humans in a 700 star galaxy and 8 other races. In the early game the Securan were the strongest empire with nearly 30 colonys.
The Shakturi extermineted them. So now after 160 years they have only 2 little colonys in one system. They agreed for a protectorate with me and now I try to help them to become a strong empire again.
1. I built defense bases over their 2 colonys.
2. 120 cruisers from me defend their last system (a quater of my fleet)
3. I gave them colony ships and now I take a look what happens

Is there any DW Shadows Gamer who made similar expiriences like this ????

mmm the colony ships just flying arround since years and do nothing :(

I tryed to gave them troop carrier full of elite troops. They use them promptly but against the Shakturi. They lost the troop carrier. I wait now for 10 ingame years and it happens nothing with the securan.... :(

What do you await ?
The Shakturi got all researched, not easy to break their defence special not for a standard empire, they need an overwhelming fleet.
The AI empire arn't clever enough to use your troop carrier to capture some easy colonies.

Sure you can give him all your military ship, but since the AI empire don't got the nessesary founds anymore you will cripple them more then it would help.

Use the editor and check what tech level they got, maybe there isn't a target at the colonitionen range.
And a new colony won't help the empire anyway. They need to spend alot founds/resources to protect the colony .

Best way to help the empire are to defeat the shakturi.
Or conquer the empire ! :-)
