1/1/1944 Autovictory in scenario 1, Allies versus the AI.


So, download latest beta when Micheal gets its done (in the next few days)

Download scenario updates.

My plan is to play the Allies once more versus the AI. Next time round, I'll tackle the Japanese economy.

Which would be better scenario 1 or scenario 2 ?
(I'm open to other suggestions but not the Ironman just yet)

Is the AI strengthened by PDU on or off ?
Realistic R+D OFF, does that help the AI ?

what else will make this a better game for me ?
(besides human opponent, I frequently will go a week or so between sitting down to play, thats a rough schedule for a RL person)

First things first I'm taking a weeks break from the game for sure. Even an early win kind of takes it out of you.

DaBades would be better [:)] If playing the Allies, then the Ironman version. Or you could do the RA mod which also spices things up for the Allies. IIRC, both RA and DaBabes have the new AI scripts included.

I would also play with PDU Off as I do not think the AI is that good with optimzing the upgrade paths. I would also play on Hard with 3-4 days a month on Very Hard. It will help the poor AI stay in supply [:)]

I'm sure others will have further suggestions in a bit [:D]

I too was going to suggest upping the difficulty level. Also, the Hakko Ichiu scenarios posit better preparedness on the part of the Japanese and so should be more of a challenge for an Allied players.

I don't believe the AI has been programmed to take advantage of favorable PDU or R&D settings.

PDU is a meaningless concept for the AI.

The AI always follows the aircraft historical upgrade path.  PDU is only used by human players.

If you're looking to tackle the Japanese economy for the first time, you'd do yourself a favor with Scenario 2. It provides ample "cushion" in fuel, resources and supply that will help you establish your sea legs.
