sanderz -> problems saving setup (2/13/2014 9:21:53 AM)

hi all

am starting my first game - barbarossa scenario
but having trouble understanding some stuff

1) saving unit setups
i see where you can save setups, however after i placed the last unit the screen changed so there were no save setup buttons. no problem i thought, just save the setup from the 'file' menu which i did. however when i come back to set up again (another story - see item 2 below) and load the setup file it just doesn't seem to work and all the units have to be placed again - it had some placed like from the default RUS setup file i think but that was it. does this setup saving work and if it does any idea what i might be doing wrong?

2) aligning hungary and finland
the reason i am trying to set up again is that i think i messed up the alignment of these 2 countries. i had the 2 in the box and tried selecting them both (with a control click) but that didn't work so i thought you had to do them one at a time - which doesn't seem to be the case and i only aligned hungary before the game started. i can't recall now what the screen looks like so i may have missed something but is it even possible to align finland and hungary at the same time and if so how?

many thanks

You can only align one minor per impulse, so you have to choose which to align first.

thanks - thought i had messed up somehow

i've been looking at the setup save situation again - do you have to save each deployment area seperately because that may explain why not everything has been restored

Saved setups only apply to named units or generic units. It's great for the CW navy and convoy points.
