Hi all.. I am not quite a noob to this game, but I have some learning to do as with everything.

In all of the grand campaign games I play, we're all faced with the event to move on the Confederate forces outside of Washington a handful of turns into the game. If we don't McClellan comes in.. yada yada.

I never seem to win the battle anyway, should I just sit back and let the switch happen and move when I am ready?

Yep! Sitting back is your best bet. You may lose some morale but maybe not as much as if you attack and suffer defeat.

Sounds good.

I really like having McClellan in Ohio training.. its a central location...

I usually don't move on Bull Run, either (okay, I'm from the North). I eventually move Mac there anyway, but only as a training officer until he goes off and tries to win the '64 election.

The best you can do is try to flank his position at Mannasas and see what the Confederate reaction will be. If he sticks to it, march on Fredericksburg or something similar. If he moves from Mannassas, go for it.
