Hi,

I was wondering if it'd be possible to see the inclusion of the Royal Navy's future AEW helicopter. As far as I understand that'll be Merlin fitted with the Crowsnest radar, I'm not sure what details are available so it's not a problem if it's not possible. It'd be a great help so that I can properly equip the Queen Elizabeth carriers.

I'd think it would be tricky given that AFAIK there still isn't a decision on whether to use the Searchwater 2000 or Vigilence radar system as yet.

The only firm news is that the Sea King will retire in 2016 and the new Merlin 2 based system won't be in service until 2020 at the earliest.

Happy for the RN if I wrong though.
