Phier -> You + AI invading a colony = wacky outcome (3/14/2014 2:30:52 PM)

So I have a single transport heading to a AI empire colony to take it over and another empire who is also at war with them, jumps in and their transport ship is much faster than mine.
I figure I'm out of luck unless I want to go to war with that invading AI empire but I let it play out and see what happens.
My troop ship apparently unloads troops and the colony is suddenly mine.
I check the colony and my troops which were all armor units are just gone, they are not on the transport ship they are not on the colony, they are just not there.
The 2nd empires infantry (about 10 units worth) are all mine.
So to summarize.
AI invades planet just before I do.
I lose my troops.
I get the planet.
I get his troops he invaded with.
