After many tries and several different strategies (Thanks Gunner98!) I was finally able to manage a satisfying "average" score of 397 and was glad to get it!
Also many thanks to POAW for such an entertaining scenario and a tip of the cap to Primarchx for intimating how to use Tomahawks to get rid of enough of the hornet's nest of fighters to finally locate and take out the mobile radars and Sam's so the strike could take place. I found it quite a learning experience!
