The next three are a brief story about a great Colonel of the Pacific war. I think I saw his name in the pilot list for this FG.

Thanks for the pictures. I was there in the mid 90's and enjoyed it. I have also been to the Pima Museum in Tucson. Once I took a friend there and as we were walking around we came upon a B-24 that had just been purchased from the Indian Air Force. The mechanics were working on the plane when my friend introduced himself as a bombardier on B-24's in Europe. He was allowed to go inside (I had to stay behind the rope). As it transpired, his plane was shot down over what is now Serbia and he had an exciting several months escaping to the coast where a seaplane picked him up. Communist partisans were responsible for his escape.

my math teacher in sixth grade was a marine pilot and got shot down. I don't remember were, but he spent a few days on some island in the pacific. I think his name was messina or something.
