I know I can buy replacements for lost horses, but how do I sell an incomplete team to open up space for a new team of superior quality? It looks like I have to pay to complete the team, then sell the complete team. The problem with that is it just cost me 2000 to complete a team, which was only worth 2000 when I then sold it. Surely if two horses cost 2000 then selling those two plus two trained horses must be worth more then 2000.

Yes, you have to complete the team before selling. I guess that the problem here is that your present circus' category cannot provide you that upgrade kind of horse team, that doubles the cost of completing a team, representing the need to get the missing horses form other cities.

If I can buy part of a team, why can't I sell part of a team? If teams can only sell whole teams, who do I buy part teams from?

The problem remains, all slots were full of injured or incomplete teams. I had the money to buy a better team, but nowhere to put it. I wanted to sell my worst team to make room but could only sell better teams, or waste money building up a broken, but poor quality team. I can't make any sense of that in real world terms. If I have to give a poor team away, I can accept, but buying two horses when I can't sell two horses so I can sell four horses makes no sense.

So now have a team of three and will be charged 8000 to replace the missing horse. The trouble is I only have 6300. I have nothing to sell to buy the missing horse. Game over when I should be able to sell my three horses for 12000 or so and be able to buy a new, if lower quality, team.

I'm not sure why it's necessary to pay money to fill out a horse team to four horses before selling a team with less than four. Would I really buy a fourth horse if I wanted to sell a team of three? No, no, and no. [:-]

I think of it as having to have four horses trained to work together to be sold as a team. If someone buys just three, they aren't trained or ready to be a team together. OK, the logic is iffy, but it works for me [;)]

Optionally, the developer could add a feature that enables the selling of less than a team of four, but with a substantial penalty.

I can go along with your logic. It's not a big deal, just another very small thing that seems a tiny bit odd to me.

It should be added that you can sell the damaged/partial team but at a much reduced price, anything else doesnt make any sense really.

Manticore8 -> RE: Horse Trading (3/27/2014 7:37:21 PM)

How do you sell a partial team without needing to buy horses to make a complete four horse team first?

nats -> RE: Horse Trading (3/27/2014 8:00:09 PM)

You cant, but you should be able to, I hope it gets added to the game
