Hello...

I hope someone 'out there' can help me with a problem that I am having with making a scenario.

First some 'background' info...

Its the Campaign Series program.

'2.0' is installed

I can, play games, save games, install new 'downloaded' scenarios, edit / create orders of battle and maps.

I can 'save' games in progress.

But, when I try to make a new scenario, and the 'Header' is presented, the title can be changed but not

any other numerical data. When you 'enter' a small icon is displayed. It has a triangle with an exclamation point

in it and the phrase 'Invalid Format'.

Can't get around it and if you can't enter this you have no 'turns' 'name' 'description' 'air power' 'supplies' and

so on.

My Operating System is Windows 8.1

I've tried narrowing it down, but with all other functions working, I can't isolate what is wrong.

I hope someone can help me out. Thanks for listening.

Dennie

Hi Dennie!

There's a format change in Turn and Visibility information. Have a look HERE.

Hope this helps [:)]

Crossroads... thanks much for the response.

However that is not the problem that I've encountered, I think.

I may not have been clear in my explanation, so I'll give it another try.

The situation is this... while making a new scenario, in the 'Header' dialog(?), I can input a new 'name' and set the victory points levels.

But I cannot set any supply level, aircraft levels and so on. They all remain at zero and can't be changed.

Also, when I tell it to save / continue I get a new display with an exclamation and the phrase "Invalid Format'.

Thanks

Dennis

Dennis, can you post a screen print of the Header dialog (Ctrl+Alt+PrtScr) here so that I can see what the issue might be?

Hello..

I'd like to comply... but as far as I can see there is no way to post a picture in a reply on this

site... no attach photo or file function... If there is a trick to including such... please let me know... I have the screen capture you asked for.

Click the orange button that says post reply. There will be a popup window with a click to upload area at the bottom. Check the box that says embed picture in post

Cheers,

If you could post a picture of the scenario Header Dialog, with the data you've entered in it, before the above error message comes out. Then I could have a look at it.

Hello....

This is the 'Header'... I've changed those things that can be... any parameters that are zero are those

that can't be accessed or changed....

Ok here we go Dennis:

The turns and visibility follow a new format, which is described in the link I provided a couple of posts before.

For an example, with a night/day sequence and variable visibility:

Turns: 1-6[n] 7-30[d]
Visibility: 1-2[2] 3-3[3] 4-4[4] 5-5[5] 6-6[6] 7-30[7]

To have the values you had in the print-screen, ie. a day lasting 60 turns, with visibility a constant 10 for all the turns:

Turns: 1-60[d]
Visibility: 1-60[10]

This should hopefully solve the issue [:)]

Crossroads... Junk2drive..

Thanks guys... putting the turns / visibility in that format got rid of the 'Invalid' message.

I'm assuming the other parameters that can't be set on this dialog will be taken care of as I detail

the scenario. Again... thank you gentlemen for your patience and your help!

Aircraft are set in a different menu.

Scenarios -> Airplanes
