This set of map markers is intended to give the map a more military, less gamey appearance. Apologies if this has been done already - I didn't spot anything in the threads... Use JGSME to install or backup your Assets/Map Markers folder and then paste this into the main game folder.

What is a good freebie program to edit these .png map markers and retain the transparency? MS Paint isn't cutting it. I tried making cool Panzer Leader-style wrecks but couldn't get them to display without the white background. Also, I like the bridge markers but would like them a little thicker to see them better.

Try paint.net or GIMP. Paint.net is probably the more user friendly of the two..
