paburke -> Stuck on 'Relocate Units Digression' (5/5/2014 6:31:36 PM)

Not too sure if this is a bug but I cant seem to get past it in the 'Relocate Units Digression' sub phase. USSR has just conquered Lithania but I had moved the German XLV Inf Corps into the southernmost hex in Lithuania (47,48) previously. It asks me to move the unit but gives me no valid moves and seems to indicate that the only valid hex is 47,48 from where its looking for me to move it. Is this a bug or something im missing....including the save from just before end of turn

Hi,

This is a bug, first time I see this happening myself. I have taken the autosave of the Russian production phase so that the bug is encountered immediately afterwards and will post it in the Beta forum for Steve to have a look at it. As a workaround artificially lengthen the turn by picking the right die roll for two impulses and only move the German corps out.

How did you align Lithuania to the Germans?

Centuur -> RE: Stuck on 'Relocate Units Digression' (5/7/2014 3:50:22 PM)

I'm getting the impression the USSR declared war on the country. Since the USSR and Germany aren't at war, during conquest, the German peacekeeper should be relocated to the closest German controlled hex possible.

RAW:

All units from the conquered side in that country are now moved to
the nearest friendly hex outside the country that they may stack in,
unless they are at war with the conquerer.

Also, there are other strange things in this game. There are units on the map, which don't seem to have the right description. There is a Chinese convoy (China Sea) which hasn't got the right picture on it. And there is at least one convoy at sea with 0 convoy points too (Coral Sea)? I would like to know how he's done that too. If he did make some modifications in the files, I would like to know this, because we might have a damaged game due to these kind of actions.

I've continued the game towards the conquest phase, and indeed the game doesn't want to relocate the German INF. Whether this is due to the other strange things I've seen, I don't know...

Here is the saved game just before conquest.

Thanks for the reply guys, shortly after this the game gives me an error trying to load the save game so i havent been able to get into it since.....is it possible something corrupted it in line with the observations above?

I'm a newbie so wouldnt know how to make any modifications - this was my first game and im mostly experimenting. I did think the CONV looked odd but I thought this was just the guy it displayed...not too sure why i had the convoy in the Coral Sea, i do remember building but cant remember the number of convoy points i thought it was 1 but i must be wrong.

USSR declared war on Lithuania while at peace with Germany and gave me the option to align Lithuania.

Although you "should" be able to do that, the particular sequence involved would have gotten almost no beta testing because in WiF, the USSR should claim the Baltic States politically, rather than DoW them.

Yes, but it's still a bug and needs to be fixed. I just recreated this with Rumania too. In case of conquest, peacekeepers aren't removed to the nearest friendly hex...

I'm going to look into the Chinese convoy too. I'm going to build one and see how it gets displayed. Might only be a cosmetic issue.
