I am well aware that the purges may have weakened the technical edge of the Red Army, but ideological strength is far more important. The Soviet State is unique in the world, and is threatened on every side.

The Red Army has never been as strong as I would like, and has far too many Trotskyites. I am introducing a new two year plan for the military, which will pull it up by its bootstraps. The Germans are my biggest concern, but all must be watchful on every front.

Just a note to The Soviet People, Japan has no interest in the Soviet East. Our goals and ambitions lie elsewhere.

The United Kingdom are pleased that the Soviet Union under there benign and humanitarian leader J Stalin. Have a two year plan we will be ready for a thrill filled ride.

Perhaps the Common Wealth could explain why so many of her naval assets are hovering around Japanese territory?

Well the Captain said he wanted a Ping so we thought the best place to look would be China.

French communique

Anti-German front
-Our glorious troops have abandoned Stuttgart after several months of succesful defense and retreated back to the Maginot line. The retreat was preplanned and was not disturbed by the enemy. Stuttgart is in ruins and our Maginot artillery continues to assure that it remains in ruins.

Anti-Italian front
-Our powerful artillery continues to bombard Genova
-Our courageous North-African Army has taken Tripoli. Large Italian force was surrounded and destroyed there. The Italians abandoned also large number of cargo ships which couldn't be evacuated because of our naval blocade of Tripoly. The cowardly Italian fleet did not show up to help their comrades in Libya. Western Libya is now under our control whereas our brave British allies have crushed the Italians at Benghazi.

Technology front
-The new M.S.406 fighters are entering service in large numbers. Our pilots are joyful because the bosch have no chance against them anymore.



The current Allied block consists:
-France
-Britain
-Poland (government in exile)
-Greece (Italy declared war to Greece)

The current Fascist block consists:
-Germany (together with Austria)
-Italy
-Yugoslavia (tricked to join the Fascist)

I have placed a new emphasis on production, juggling the other needs.Germany is going about its business, and we are preparing for the worst.

The German leader has no live for the Soviet Union, and we must be ready.

The United Kingdom can claim victory in the Atlantic there has been no U-Boat activity for two months. And the North sea is sealed Merchant sailors can sleep easy in their Hammocks tonight.

The Soviet Union is at peace.

However, the world is a dangerous place and we are going to build up some defenses.

We have no intention of attacking our neighbors.

We began our buildup with defensive positions. We intend to defend the motherland with bands of deep defensive lines.

We would like to spend our efforts on research and improvements to our Soviet factories, but the security of our land comes first.

Anti-German front
-No changes. Stuttgart is under constant artillery fire and remains in ruins.

Anti-Italian front
-Our artillery continues to bombard Genova
-Our navy has bombarded Sicily and Sardinia. Large air battle took place over Sicily which ended with our victory. The Italian fleet is hiding.

Greek front
-The Italians invaded Greece from Albania but were repulsed with heavy losses (nearly 10 AFVs lost).


The current Allied block consists:
-France
-Britain
-Greece
-Poland (government in exile)
-Czechoslovakkia (government in exile, the country was invaded and occupied by Germany)
-Netherlands (government in exile, the country was invaded and occupied by Germany)


The current Fascist block consists:
-Germany (together with Austria)

Politburo Notes - 14 November 1938

While it is always the policy of the Soviet Union to welcome true peace we look with some concern at the Japanese offer of peace to China. We do not want adventurism by the Japanese in our far eastern provinces.

It is the policy of the USSR to maintain forces sufficient to defend the Motherland, and we expect our neighbors to respect our borders. We have not neglected our defenses.

Just one problem with your claim we are a threat as the Japanese, the victory condition that includes the Soviet properties requires Japan to control all of China.
