Just wondering, is there anything coming down the pipe that will allow us to change the specific soundtrack(s) that are being played via event?

If you mean events like character, buildings and random events then all the music files are in the sounds/effects folder in ur DW game directory. You can replace the music with whatever u want by just renaming the files you want to be played with the original event music name. For example the music that plays during character events and disasters are named "characterEvent" and "disaster" in said folder. Hope this helps.

NOT THE music folder. Check there if you want to change it.
So far, the music stuff does not appear to be event driven.
What few events are accompanied by music are in the sound effects folder, and I recommend you back up whatever you change in case the system does not like it.
ALSO: Please note, most of the music bytes are smaller in size, not huge tracks...

I personally would like it is say it worked like this;

Start a pre warp game and the BGM is light and lively;
Develop Warp Bubbles and the music becomes more tentative and curious;
Then say with the reveal of the Shakturi it switches to something dark and brooding.

Exactly, that's what I want to do. That is why I was asking here - to see if Eric or one of the modders currently using the DW:U toolset could let us know if we can mess with the soundtrack and play music at certain points/after certain events.

I haven't played with the sound but my understanding is that you can add music and/or sound effects to your mod. Sound effects are triggered by components. Music plays randomly from what it finds in the music directory. So you can't tie music to an event. But you can tie images to events if that helps I think. :)

Edit: Das, random soundtrack is fine and all but what i'm wondering about is if there is any way to select music from it via event/other in DW:U... from what you said... we can tie images but cannot do anything with the sound? :)
