ORIGINAL: KG Erwin ...................... you could consider doing a Mini-Campaign about the Marine Raiders, which would last just from 1942 to early 1944. This could include the invasion of Tulagi and the Battle of Bloody Ridge in 1942 and a few other operations in which they performed missions that they were intended for. Dude, you consider it. You have all the tools you need right in front of you. Damn, you've got half the task completed with your knowledge of them dumb Gyrenes. [:)] Any Q's that you can't source out, ask. It ain't that hard, making a campaign is all laid out in the manual. Grab a pencil and a big piece of paper. Storyboard that campaign that you have in your head. Every chapter, with results good/bad, in detail. Then make it an interesting tale. A heroic journey. Beware WBW's warnings, don't make it huge! Small engagements in a big theater is OK fine. That's first up. Job One. It all hangs off of this work. But remember Gunnie, dem Marines ain't the heros in this little story. They are just the ones that survived. Most of them. Not like those other guys. And it coulda gone waaaay different. All could have changed due to a different course of events. Just like every other conflict since forever. So it's got to be balanced, sorta. But tilted towards the CO at the keyboard. After you've got all that paperwork sorted out, the rest is easy. Combatants. Pfffft. I think you got that covered. Maps. You need maps. Building each node is easy, just follow the story. Paint the picture (red team vs blue team) on the canvas (the map that's been made). It's one step at a time man. Do some groundwork, make some headway. Show people what you're doing. Ask questions. Who knows, you might get some help. Learn new skills. What else are you doing right now? What does SEMPER FI mean? cheers MM
