Ur_Vile_WEdge -> OT, AIF rules. (5/14/2014 5:39:31 PM)

Group that I play with via Vassal decided to do an AIF game next after our current game winds up. Anyway, looking through the AIF rules, and there are some things that don't make sense to me. 10.7 World in Flames optional rules, says quote:
You can use and of the World in Flames Optional rules with America in Flames (exept rules that require Planes in Flames or Ships in flames counters) Does this mean you're not supposed to play with PiF and SiF? That can't be the case, because the setup charts include PiF and SiF columns. And if you are playing with SiF, are you supposed to use the SiF version of the naval counters, or the AiF one, when they duplicate? All the AIF carriers seem to be 2 better on that critical carrier size stat, so it can become important. Also, does this mean that transports/amphs have their defenses go from 5 to 10 a la classic? Beause that makes them hugely vulnerable, especially with all the naval air flying around. Lastly, do you do spending the political points before setup? You almost seem to have to, what with the existence of hidden units, but it's not clear in the rules that you do so.
