HailRider -> Hot keys (5/16/2014 3:39:56 PM)

I am new to CMANO. So far I like it a lot, but I am finding the controls a bit clunky. I see there are a number of hotkeys. Unfortunately, I am on a laptop with no numpad, so many of the hotkeys and not accessible to me. Also, I find that a lot of the functions I am using (maybe in error) have no assigned hotkey.

Is there a way to assign hotkeys?
Are there more hotkeys than I may be aware of?
Are there alternative hotkeys to the numpad ones, specifically to ungroup units?

Thanks for your help.

Hi there HailRider,

You cannot manually assign hotkeys but there are quite a few available in the sim. The numeric keys have corresponding PgUp, PgDn, Home and End hotkeys so should work fine without a numpad. I believe Dimitris will release an updated version of the sim in the near future that has more hotkeys. Hopefully within the next week or so, but might take longer. The updated version will probably also include an in-sim Hotkey quick-reference sheet. Please stay tuned.

To ungroup units, go to Unit View (toggle PgUp, equals 9 on numpad), select the units you want to detach from group and press D.

My laptop (macbook pro) does not seem to have PgUp, PgDn, Home, or End. Is there any way to include alternative hotkeys that don't involve those keys?

I'll have a chat with Dimitris [8D]

Cool! Something new about my mac. I've had no idea for the past 10 years!

I am still missing the other numpad functions ( i.e. ENTER / * + - )
