Is there any way to speed up the supply traveling from Rangoon to China? My opponent has given me the luxury of time in Burma and I have over 500k supply sitting in Rangoon. I would like to speed up the transfer if I can. Is there a way I can do that?

Try setting your main chinese bases to stockpile yes and maximize the supply amount(the control right below the stockpile button) It worked for me a few games ago. GP

I have not been particularly studious on the mechanics of supply...but my understanding is building more infrastructure along the path of bases will move more supply, faster, through them. So I typically build forts up to level 2, which can happen pretty quickly, then work on airfield upgrades and additional fortifications along anticipated lines of defense.

I've seen that help with moving stockpiles inland to central Burma, then you're constrained only by the single road into China and whatever the capacity is along that path.

Addendum...; A nice stockpile in central Burma will keep supplies flowing into China after Rangoon falls...and it will fall.

Rangoon's fall is dependent on your opponent. A competent human player will take Rangoon every time, but against the AI it is possible to make a stand and hold Rangoon.

In any case, supply is going to move more slowly through Burma during Monsoon season. Before Monsoon season starts, you might see fairly decent supply movement into China, but then suddenly its piling up in Rangoon and you can't get it out. That's where all the transport planes come into effect. You can move supply by flying it into China. It's an inefficient way to move supply, but it does add a little bit to the trickle.

In my last game I held Rangoon (against the AI), but had to halt all offensive operations in China through the middle of monsoon season because China was starving.

Good ideas.

I am surprised my opponent has allowed me to maintain Burma as long as I have. I managed to check his first probes into the place but have been left alone since. It is May 1, 42 and I still hold Singapore, with fort level 6 I might add. He seems to be concentrating on Java at the moment for some reason. Meanwhile the Chinese grow fat.

AS wdolson pointed out Rangoon can be held against the AI and while doing so the Allied player can ship massive quantities of supply into it.

The best way I have found to pull the supply into China is to reduce the minimum value held at Rangoon to 7k (it will seek to hold three times this thus guaranteeing that you have the necessary 20k supply for aircraft upgrades for the AVG) and increasing the minimum supply levels for the all the Chinese cities between Kunming and Burma.

The supply above 20k in Rangoon will be pulled toward China.

It isn't perfect and as pointed out it will dwindle to a trickle during the monsoon, but it does work.

The other best way to get supply to China is to take Shanghai with the Chinese. [:D]

It yielded 850K supply when it fell in my last game. [X(]
