That is kinda bummer. The workshop would fit in with the add-ons modifications just well. What would be any other better way to promote your game on steam with a bunch of already working add-ons from the community which are really great.

hmm steam takes the rights away from the modders in there terms of service once put on steam the owners are giving up there rights to the ideas and images.

Just to be clear, if we implemented it, it would be an option not a requirement and the existing system would still work fine. We don't want to do anything to harm the modding community outside of Steam.

Just one last note here. Why is the official website not updated about the news that a new package will be released?

I had to visit the forums to see it which I do really once every other month or so. I was lucky to see it then...

I suppose a lot of people could be angry when they will find out that they have missed the discount.

Also had to reset my password to login.

BUT, the generate Steam Key feature on "My Page" just gives me the option to register a Serial when I click the button. What am I missing to get the Steam Key?

Register the serial.
Go to Resources - My Page
Press the button for steam keys.
Press the button at DW:U.

That should be one way, at least.

Yes Erik advised there were 54 Steam Achievements over at the Steam Forums and was also open minded to adding more.

I really don't get what I'm doing here. I go to the Slitherine site, go to the register page and it asks me to register the code for DW:Universe?

I thought I would have to register the codes for DS, RoS, Legends and Shadows in this Slitherine interface and get GIVEN a Steam code by Slitherine to put into Steam to prove to Steam that I already owned these game, and thus get issued with a Steam key (A process I've done with other publishers or game portals like Desura dozens of times)

Instead It's asking for a code FROM steam. I don't have DW on Steam - how do I get a key word a game I don't own from Steam?

I must be thick. No idea what is going in here. Could someone with a higher IQ help me with this?

Just thought - Do we need to buy all the games again on Steam and then register them here to play them outside of Steam or something?
I thought there was a process for showing steam you only needed the "Universe" upgrade and not the full game. I just want to buy the latest expansion for a smaller cost that Steam is showing. $20 or whatever.
There seems no option on Steam to buy just the expansion anyway, it's full game or nothing - which is a shame as I'd much prefer to play on Steam but would rather not pay for the full game again. The main game and all the expansions already cost well over $100 - which I reckon is a lot of cash.
Is it best to ignore Steam altogether and just buy it here? I would rather have Steam as I have it on all my PC's and I find it so much more convenient (as my library of over 400 Steam games attests :) ) but if it's not possible without buying the whole game again at $60 or whatever then I'll just get the upgrade from here and play "sans steam"

That Slitherine site is awful.

I'm not following, I register my games with Matrix (done), then I also have to register my games with the Slitherine site, which should already recognize my username and pw from the forums but doesn't, so I register a new, identical account, and then get the confirmation email, clicking on it takes me to what looks like a new user registration page with empty fields, but I am actually logged in. So I then register AGAIN all my games on Slitherine and click get Steam key, but only DW Universe is available, and the button says register not get key. So I am supposed to purchase it first on Matrix with discounts, then get free steam key to download?

It's 49.99 on Steam, which is the same price I would have paid with the 30 dollar discount I have on Matrix. So why don't I just purchase it on STEAM???

Am I the only one who finds this convoluted as hell???

The Slitherine password reset sends a password in plain text, that's a huge security no-no (and you're not forced to change it on first login).

I had issues like above, not liking the password I initially set, had to gen a new one. Got it working in less than 15 minutes end to end, looking forward to playing it on Steam!

Hi guys

please make sure you read the instructions first. There is a lot going on with discount coupons and Steam keys and you need to be sure you're using the right code at the right point.
* You need to register all your DW serials on the Matrix members area to generate a DWU discount coupon for Matrix.
* Buy DWU from Matrix. Your coupon can only be used to buy DWU of course ;)
* To register your steam key just register your DWU on Slitherine and you get a Steam key.

We have used the system for 5 other games, (2 of which with more users than DWU so its not a volume issue) without issue so we know the system works. I'm not sure why the DWU community is having more issues but the web team are looking in to it to see if we can find something causing the problem. It is fiddly to have to move between sites to register your serials but the Steam key system only exists on Slitherine so is the only way we could get you steam keys.

Please read the instructions and try again following it step by step and I'm sure you'll get there. If you can read the instructions and try again hopefully you'll get up and running.

I had no issues with purchasing on Matrix (with my discount code), and then getting the Steam key by registering DWU serial number on Slitherine.
I activated a Steam copy of DWU with the obtained key.

Why not use same account for members and for other forum users on matrix?

I regiostered matrix forums, matrix store/members, bought the game, registered on matrix members and still no steam key.

I registered on Slitherine, tried to get the gey but.....

Is someone crazy here? I filled the form for serial on steam WHILE I WAS LOGGED INTO SLITHERINE, but it asked for credentials again, and then same credentials are wrong?????

You need to reset the password of the account to make it work.

I wonder how that ever made it through testing.

They responded from slitherine support, my pass got reset and they registered my game for me.
I managed to go to my games page, request steam key and get it entered on steam.

its downloaading finaly.

Dear mother of god. That was one of the most plainful processes of getting a steam key I have ever gone through. Like, omgwtf levels of terrible.

It makes me very glad you are starting to put your games on steam, because honestly your own site isn't very easy to use. Well at least I have the game.
