Hi,

Is the figure on the top right of the display under "Money" always wrong or am I doing something wrong?

It says 8344 on the top left, but the F6 screen says "Cash on Hand = 2K". I am inclined to think that the real figure is closer to 2K than 8K, since the game won't let me buy a Colony Ship that costs 7.5K. I find it very hard to play with strapped cash when you can't even monitor the money situation in real and have to manually pop up a modal window to see what's the real cash situation.

The top right number is correct, but it can also fluctuate rather quickly, especially if you are running at a higher speed. So it's possible to see 8k there and then go to order construction, in the meantime it's gone down to 2k. If you close that screen, do you see the number at top right update to 2k?

It does actually fluctuate, and yes, I am running at 2x and 4x speeds. But it seems to often be late compared to the one in the Empire Screen, and won't even update if I open and close that screen a few times. It seems to live a life of its own with its own update timer. Maybe forced refresh when one opens the F6 screen would help not scare people?

It does have its own update timer for performance reasons, but I agree that opening the empire summary should update it.

Numbers in DW lack a temporal unit. We never know if you are speaking of days, month, or years.

Also statistics would be amazing to have.

Actually, it does. The income in the upper right corner is yearly income, and the income in your Empire Summary is yearly income.

This is important in the early age of shadows games because when the Pirates come knocking, they ask a monthly price. It is much more expensive than you might at first think.

Nice one, tricky! And now everything becomes clear like water.
