It'd be nice to have some variation in these in a future expansion.

Or is this a not feasible 'til DW2 sort of thing?

... or a noone else would want this kind of thing [:-]

I meant not having the same picture for every character of a race. Purely a cosmetic thing.

Well, do you have character images in the
characterimages
folder...?

Now if you put images in their you have to set up a character file in the
characters
folder...
But it does give you a variation you seek.

For example:
darthvader.png in the characterimages folder
and Imperial.txt file in characters folder needs an entry for Darth Vader in order to use that file.

If you want random characters, then you will want to convert your race_xx.png file to have several people in that picture.


I am sorry if I am telling you something that you already know.

Check the mod manual for how to modify or create a character.txt file.

I actually asked the same thing in the Extended folder (sense I play extended). There's a few things I don't like about this solution:

1. It's a lot of work to give give every race several different characters to appear through the game.
2. There is no randomness to it. You'll always get Darth Vader before random person. You'll always get Darth Vader before General Veers. Darth Vader will always be the same.

What would be nice is if you can make characters that have random name, random image, random skills and appear randomly. The ideal would be for a folder in characterimages for each race and in that folder is 2 more folders, male and female. Every time a character generated it randomly makes that character and picks a random picture from one of the 2 folders (with a sex appropriate name).
