Cadune -> DW loading / Saving Delay (5/31/2014 7:08:45 AM)

Just wondering if his is just me;
- when I load up the game ( click play DW using the launcher) the game must take 3 minutes to actually start up. I see the launcher screen but it just takes ages.

- when I load a saved game it takes another 2 minutes.

- saving a game must take 3 minutes and gets a bit annoying.

What are everyone's experience's? Is this typical?

Another "me too" reply [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Game takes as long to start as Civ 5, load/save times are taking minutes, especially later in the game.

Playing large, 10 sector galaxies.

15 seconds for me but Ive installed DW on a SSD drive. Good investement für such kind of complex games.

I have load times of 60-90 seconds for DWU tutorials, and my PC was purchased specifically for the game.

Load times are so much better now than back in Shadows. They have made a huge improvement.

Vasquez, that is a very good idea. What brand and capacity of SSD do you recommend?

I use two SSD drives. One 128 GB Samsung840 for the OS and one 256 GB Samsung840 for certain games (like Distant Worlds, Metro2033, Planetside2 etc.).

Iam not even sure if my DW loading times are 15 seconds. More like 5-10 seconds.

My third HD is a 1000gb drive for all other games.

My other specs are: i7-3770K 3.50 GHz - Mainboard Asus Sabretooth Z77 (Socket1155) - 16GB Kingston DDR3-1600 - GTX680 2GB Jetstream

I run off a Samsung SSD myself as well.
Initial loading times still suck ass. Save times are very quick.

Vasquez, thank you very much. I was wondering whether to get 128gig or 256gig, and you helped a lot there.
