Platoon_Michael -> CCReq update for WAR? (6/5/2014 11:56:59 AM)

Hello,

Can anyone here tell me if its possible to get the old CCIV/CCV tool called CCReq to work with WAR?
I'd love to be able to play some Custom Battles like this tool created back in the day online again.

Or does anyone here have the ability to create a new tool that could do this?

CCReq
That is the Tool for anyone who's interested or could help.
Theirs quite a few folders in there that may be of help to those who can hopefully just edit the tool to be used with the re-releases.
But I'm not really sure

I haven't used it fully in years but it does appear to be able to recognize Mod installed with CCIV.

If we could get a tool like this to not only work with the re-releases but also be able to do Ops and GC's it would be an Incredible boost to not only re-playability but also online games too.

I tried to contact Sgt_Wilson, no luck.

I did contact TinTin, he doesn't do gaming anymore and has moved away from windows to full apple/machintosh. Was interested in TBF.

Steve said on a post here at matrix that he would help anyone interested in updating or making a new similar tool by offering guidance with the save-game format used.

So if any brave soul wants to step in...

I'd be willing to give it a shot.
But I'll be honest.
I would need some help.

TBH its hard to understand a lot of the things Steve explains.
The tool says it supports Ops and it loads the game as an Op.
But it only supports 1 BG for each side.

Multiple BG's and Multiple Maps would be Amazing to have.
The re-playability of Battles/Ops and GC's would be Enormous if you could make these kind of changes.

It would quickly become hands down without a doubt the best tool for CC ever.

It does support Operations...

Just the must very basic ones: 1bg per side, 3 maps, 2 supply depots, multiple days. Thats it.

FWIW I managed to make an op with 4 maps once in CC5 using CCReq.

To make full campaigns would need an overhaul of the tool, coding it doesn't seem too complicated for a skillful programmer, he would need the format of the save game file only, since the data files are all txt so no messing around weird extensions.

Hmmm,

How/where did you get it to support 4 maps?

Here's an example CC5 OP with 4 maps edited with CCReq . Vanilla CC5+patch 5.01a+ClubSSI fixes. Extract the files into the saved games folder. Be aware that since these are saved games, when you play them they will be "expended" so try to save them again with another name and use that instead so these original remain for future play.

Weird I don't remember people using these to play H2H but I could be wrong. You could say to your H2H buddy to make his own Forcepool (Using the point parameter in the FP edit screen in CCReq. For example "Choose whatever but it must not go over 2000 points") and then you can import it and make the savegame so you can play with custom FP's made by each one of you!.

Sorry for the long time, I missed this post I guess.
