AstroCat -> Retrofit, easy way to tell? (6/6/2014 2:31:08 PM)

Quick question:

Is there an indicator (on any screen) that lets you know at a glance if a ship is using a non-updated build? I know the ship info screen lists which build they are using but it doesn't let you know if that is the latest or not.

I'm looking for some kind of quick way to scan my ships/bases and tell which ones needs to be retrofitted.

Thanks!

The only way is the retrofit button in the ship UI would be greyed out if newest build.

Ah, yeah that's what I was afraid of. Oh well, guess you have to kinda micro-manage your ship retrofits. Would be cool if they would add a little marker on ship lists and info screen if the ship was not using the latest build.

You can in some way abuse the ship list for this, but it is a pain.

First, you can see how many ships are on each design, if you view all the designs (not just latest buildable one) in the design list, and sort by sub role.

Hopefully the design has different firepower or maintenance, and you can sort the ship list for (military) ships on maintenance/firepower and locate the ships on different designs. It is not obvious whether maintenance goes up or down at a retrofit, though, but it probably did change.

If the design update gives a change in firepower, and you use standardized fleet structures, it is quite easy to spot which fleet has the "wrong" firepower in the fleet list.
