jonpspri -> [FIXED B543] [B538] Canary's Cage SAMs now walk on water (6/7/2014 11:57:32 PM)

Started a new Canary's Cage run under B538. For the past two iterations, my S 72 Scirocco unit has consistently detected two SSC-3 Styx batteries with its Manta E. It had not detected this pre-B536. Additionally, it positions a small uncertainty area on the water which rapidly becomes a certain position in the middle of the ocean 2 miles from my submarine. I haven't yet tried to torpedo the SAM battery. ZIP contains three files: "Canary's Cage - B538 Pre-SAM Detection" - Save game at the start of the scenario (before the SAM is detected) "Canary's Cage - B538 Post-SAM Detection" - A little later, after the SAMs are detected, but still uncertain. Notice how there's no way they could be within their uncertainty zones. "Canary's Cage - B538 Certain SAMs a few minutes later" - Now their position is certain, but impossible. I suppose this could be to force me to interpret the Manta E, but I suspect something in the emissions detection algorithm got tinkered with and this behavior is an unintended consequence. Cheers, Jonathan
