Hi guys, I'm new to this game. I've got a couple of questions regarding tourism.
1. If a colony does not have a resort base, does it get ANY tourism at all?
2. Should every colony get a resort base so that there is at least some tourism there, or are resort bases only useful in places with a +% scenic bonus?
3. Can I add passenger compartments into a spaceport, and have it double up as a resort base?
4. Can the default resort base include 1 gas, mine, and luxury extractor? If a planet has a scenery bonus, a luxury, and a resource the AI currently cannot benefit from all three.
5. If it turns out you need passenger compartments in starbases, could the AI do this too if it does not? Oftentimes a homework has a great scenery boost.
1. put a few passenger components on the base above the world. 2.only with a % of scenic bonus. 3.yes. 4.yes commerce center will tell the private sector pick up resources from the location. in my experience it is best to make a mining statin and a resort base though, the mining stations are payed for by the private sector. 5.the ai does this sometimes i have seen SP with no passenger compartment though as well.
most bases above colonies should have commerce center medical centers entertainment centers they all will help the colony.
