So for the last two or three decades, this planet has constantly had at least 4 pirate factions (And at most, pretty sure all of them) at a time having a constant space battle over it. Ground invasions have been launched, but always small enough to be repelled by the local Boskaras, due to the invasion ships being shot at from at least two different directions.

It's utter chaos, and it's glorious.

I took a colony that was pretty much like that in my AAR. The fleet guiding the transport in had to repair so we left the colony alone while they were away. The 4-6 toops landed were _killed_ in the pirate raids which were at about 400 strength.
