Somehow I was under impression that initial weapon energy received from AC is modeled in CMANO - eg. downrange is dependent on altitude and speed of launch. But maybe I just mislead myself and it isn't? Here is scen attached - 2 A-6 are dropping Walleye ER/DL from medium and high altitude and at loiter and military speed. Both are dropping at the same distance, both weapons are able to reach target. I guess guidance method is not limiting factor - according to DB datalink is rated at 55 nm.

So is initial energy modeled?

Well think your test just told a tale but will ping D or Rag to reply.

This may take a few as we're in the middle of a bunch of different things at once.

Thanks!

Mike

I've actually been interested in this with SDB, actually. I would imagine that SDB would have a shorter range at 10,000 feet than 40,000 feet, but is this the case? It holds in-game, but I would think that reduced gravitational potential energy -> reduced range.
