You are in control that way.
To be fair, 99% of the world's population doesn't have that luxury-relying on their own hunting / gathering for their primary sustenance. Also, I've butchered all of the above-it's a messy and cross-contaminating process. It doesn't hold a candle to the cleanliness of the modern processing plant.
When was the last time you did a whole bird rinse on your poultry to check for Campylobacter, Salmonella and the like? Have you checked your eggs for Salmonella or done drag swabs of the premise three times during the production life of your birds? Do you know what those rabbits have been eating before you, in turn, eat them? Do you care about production efficiency (pounds of feed: pounds of animal yield)?
I've no affinity or affection for the bronze age of agricultural production practices. Lots of people globally would have to starve to death were we to resume or revert to those practices.
Anyways, I apologize for the rant, but these 'shock videos' that are focused on the uninitiated and underinformed for 'grossout value' chap my hide.
