Don7x -> How do factories and resources affect overall Victory Points? (7/2/2014 7:50:34 PM)

In terms of increasing my Victory Points (and production capability), how do I determine which conquered factories and supply centers to repair? Playing as Germany in my first campaign, I've managed to pushed the Russians out of Moscow and Leningrad by summer of '41, but I now have a massive number of damaged factories and supply centers in the East, in addition to France and Western Europe. Therefore, in order for these areas to be counted toward my victory point total (and production/supply capability), is there a simple method of determining which/where to repair? Some things about this process I'm also still unsure of: - Do I need to repair existing rail lines for them to be connected (i.e. for a resource center in Poland to supply a factory in Moscow)? - Do surplus resources in my stockpile (accrued from previous turns?) calculate into the VP equation for supplying factories, or do only linked resources centers count? - Is partisan activity somehow 'blocking' the routes of resources getting to factories (beyond the usual 'damaging' they occasionally inflict on production/resource centers)? - Also, does the production multiplier (i.e. x2, x3) affect this calculation at all, either in regards to the number of total VPs earned or the number of factories that must be repaired? It just seems rather abstract and confusing as far as which of the dozen or so damaged production areas are 'linked' or counting toward my VP total.
