Pergite! -> Suggestion: Max/Min altitudes for patrol mission (7/3/2014 10:36:50 PM)

I am working on a scenario, and in one area of this there are some T-34 Turbo Mentors (while waiting for the Skymaster to climb over from the CWDB) tasked to conduct aerial surveillance along a border. I task the aircraft with a patrol mission and off they go. The problem is that they are flying at 25.000ft and are not able to spot anything that happens on the ground below them with their Mk.1 eyball. I can manually plot way-points at at different altitudes, effectively creating low level recognizance missions, but I now realise that the same feature is missing in order to create missions in the editor for the AI to run consecutively. Setting the mission height parameters would also be great in order to avoid detection and/or different types of air defences or hide in the same altitudes as civilian commercial aviation. So the suggestion is a as follows: Please add the possibility to set Max and Min altitudes in the mission editor for patrol missions (just like every other parameter is available at the moment) Note: Setting altitudes would of course mess up deployment of certain weapons. Some kind of override function would in that case be prudent save the player from unwise restrictions. When the unit goes into engage defensive/offensive then the patrol limits are overridden (like I guess the speed setting already is at the moment).
