MrFreeze -> Game performance? (7/14/2014 1:34:01 AM)

Just a question to know if its coming from my end or not, the game is taking an awfully long time to load (2-3min, a save can take up to 45s too). Also around mid game (when the map -normal size, 700 stars- is almost taken by all civ) the game starts to be very choppy, I have to play it to x1 speed and even that is not enough to have a smooth experience... Is this game having performance issue?

My PC:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130828-1532)

Unforeseen -> RE: Game performance? (7/14/2014 1:56:49 AM)

The load times sound about normal, I think the theme can slow things down a bit too. The length of time it takes to start a game can depend a lot on how big of a galaxy it's generating and how many races and pirates. Save speed probably has a lot to do with how much your saving. 45 seconds isn't really bad. Also, there is ALOT happening in the backround starting in that mid game area. Especially with the private sectors rolling around. You need a really good processor and quite a bit of ram. My rig tanks it all pretty well with an Intel i5 357O 3.4ghz and 16.3gb of ram.
