Hello All,

In Command TLAM fly a strught path from launching ship to target.

In Real life TLAM route can be programmed so the missile does not a fly a stright and obvious path.

Am I wrong, or I just dont know how change TLAM attack course.

Thanks,

Gil

The answer is "B." [:'(]

There are some models of the TLAM that are capable of waypoint programming. I don't recall which ones specifically, but if you look the the Sub Ops Training scenario, your sub carries two different models of TLAM. One of those programmable. You can practice on that scenario. I think you can even change the waypoints while the missile is en route.

This is horribly complex stuff. Will be looked at when we start implementing the Advanced Strike Mission Editor. No promise on ETA but doubt we get time to start looking at it until after Christmas.

Lol I jokingly pointed out earlier that once we've implemented this it will be so complex to use that most players will just use straight-flying TLAMs for simplicity [:D]

Thanks!

I'm looking forward for that TLAM fix!

I've found that it's pretty easy to plot the course of the Tomahawk E (Blk IV) in the game. Launch a group, wait for them to all fire, and then select all, hit F3, and plot the new course. They remain controllable for quite some time. It's really useful to be able to route them around radar and then plot a course over land, through valleys and behind mountains to improve their kill ability. This also helps with strike timing, as you can make them loiter in an area for awhile until the rest of your strike is in position, then send them in.
