I have noticed when I have a unit that is down to one team, and I try to use that unit in 2nd platoon, it will not populate that platoon. This is especially a problem in armored units that are down to one tank. Sometimes I want a single teamed unit to fill 2nd Platoon to conserve and preserve my forces.

The issue here is that the platoon is down to just an HQ. The second platoon slots you have available are for the first squad in the platoon. Since there are no squads at all, they end up empty.

I'll make a note of this for future updates. Ideally the game should give you the HQ if no squads are available at all, even if the platoon slots don't normally allow that.

Also look at this please. It doesn't just happens with the HQ unit, when there's no complete squad the slots are not filled either. I mean if in the second platoon slot you have two unit slots only and the platoon in the forcepool has an HQ and two of the same halves of a squad, only one of the two requisition slots will be chosen. If the platoon on the forcepool has the two different halves of a squad, the two slots on the requisition part will be filled

It happens to platoon vehicles too.

There has not been an update to Gateway to Caen since the original report, no. The issue has been recorded in the bug database however.

Here's a savegame.

On the very next battle, there are several tank platoons with 3 tanks on the forcepool, there are 2 unit slots in 2 platoon on the battlegroup. Only one of the platoons with 3 tanks can fill the battlegroup's 2nd platoon.... why?
