Latest scenario from PdL Design Team, as always all comments welcome. Exercise “EN GARDE 2013” is held this year in North Atlantic Waters. The purpose o this exercise is to evaluate the capabilities of a French task force against the land defences of another nation. This time the defender will be United Kingdom. Defence will include RAF units (fighters, AEW assets and tankers), Royal Navy units and Royal Artillery, besides a wide net of early warning radars across the Island.

I like the setting. Trying it out at the moment. I guess its a good time as ever to learn the names of all those French weapons and their acronyms once and for all. [:)]

This is pretty fun. You really need to work the periphery and stay as elusive as possible in this scenario. Your Rafales are good aircraft but their Micas aren't up to duking it out with Typhoons' AIM-120s or Meteors. I keep my Hawkeye moving around a lot and radiating very little (~20 seconds every 5-6 minutes) with periodic updates. Rafales use their IRSTs and ESM for engagements. So far so good!

Thank god primarchx is wrong and there are no meteors(yet), I just started your scenario and I have to admit it really looks promising and fun without being saturated by to many units. Therefore for now I can just say good work on the French OOB!(the only thing I would eventually change is the Cassard that was modernized prior the scenario and is in the database) Cheers,

Nice scenario. I echo what Primarchx says about the Micas vs Typhoons! And to top it all off the defender gets the advantage in a tie! 7:23:37 AM - Weapon: MICA IR #241 is attacking 6 Sqn #3 with a base PH of 90%. Argh, my poor Etendards got spanked on an attack vs some surface ships! Their Exocets got close but no cigar in the end.

Still going on this one. Managed to sink a Type 23 FF, won't say how to prevent any spoilers but it wasn't easy. Running out of AA missiles - completely out of Mica IR which puts some of my Rafale's in Reserve. No more Exocet's, only a handful of SCALP EG's left have hit three of the targets, moving in for #4 & 5 I think there is a Type 35 DD with missiles expended so will sick the Super E's on that next. Very good fun. Mission accomplished. Got a little to cocky near the end and lost my Rubis![:@] Also lost 4 more Rafale in an ambush going for Obj 4 - had taken out the radars but did not detect the AWACS in time - dopey me[:-] Got all 5 targets, and two ships. Triumph at 600 pts (should have been 700 but the Rubis cost me) Good scenario. I would add a few (8-12) more Mica IR to the CdG magazines - and that's about it - this one is in really good shape and great fun. Well done. Quite like this scen! The scenario would be seriously difficult without the 16x MdCN [Naval SCALP EG]. [:D] One thing this scenario has taught me how very useful having a precision land strike capability on naval assets is. Got a triumph, 700 points.
