Since Pz IVH was available only from early 1943, try to fight the Bolshevik tanks without recruiting Pz IVH. If you get one in a scenario, bring it to the back and do not use it.

Same about Fw190 in air battles. These planes showed up in the East in the fall of 1942. Since your Bf 109s are fairly strong, you can recruit two more of them instead of Fw 190s and that should be enough to fight for air superiority, at least in the Minsk battle.

While the Bolshevik air force is relatively easy to deal with, their tanks will give you some hard time before they die like heroes.

A mechanized infantry with MP44 and Faustpatrons looks strange in 1941 but that is the mechanized infantry we have now, and have no super abilities. Volkssturm was only available from 1944 but this unit can be used to represent weakened infantry forces in 1941 or anything less woth than regular infantry. They are not that hopeless on the field and under a good general will perform quite well.

Bombers can attack fighters in this game, so I made one more home rule for air battles. Bombers can attack enemy fighters if they stand in the way of a bomber formation flying towards their target, or have flown close enough to be in range. Bombers cannot chase enemy fighters. This "home rule" amkes air battles somewhat more realistic.

When a bomber formation (2 He 111, 1 of them newly recruited, and 2 Stukas)encounters enemy fighters, the Bf109s engage them. The Bolsheviks fly in groups of 3 and there are 4 Bf 109s in the scenario, or 5 if another one was recruited (with the available resources the player can recruit 1 bomber and 1 fighter). One Bf 109 is enough to weaken one enemy fighter. 3 Bf 109s engage the enemy fighters and weaken them. When all Bolshevik fighters are weakened, one of Bf 109s (the ace) takes a position from which he can attack all enemy fighters, and shoots them down.

Bombers attack in formations. Important targets are attacked in large formations. It may eb a good idea to send fighters as the first wave. They will nopt destroy the target but will make the enemy fatigue. After that, bombers attack and destroy the target.

Not sure how far you are into the game, but have you run into any scenarios that cannot be completed because of bugs?

Thanks!

Reached Kharkov and no bugs yet. Exiting the game is a bit tricky, after Exit it shows a black screen and I have to use the Windows button and turn it off manually, but the scenarios I have seen so far can be completed.

I only bought this game a few days ago and some bugs that were discussed in the other forum (Slitherine) seem to have been fixed.
