CapAndGown -> Emperor Declares National Holiday (2/18/2003 7:26:19 AM)

The streets of Dai Nippon were filled today with victory celebrations when it was announced that the Imperial Japanese Navy SANK a US submarine. The Emperor declared a day of national thanksgiving. Details are still sketchy, but it appears that a fleet of 20 DD's and 5 PC's actually caught and sank a US fleet sub in Shortlands harbor.

BANZAI!

LOL! So true, I can see why the Emperor declared the holiday.

I don't see the big deal.

May, 1942, and I have lost one sub and badly damaged 1-2 others (OPSEC, you know) in a PBEM game. (started in version 2.2)

And for the record, I do not make a habit of "stacking" or hanging around port hexes. And as a note, my opponent takes ASW seriously.

Forget the dang DDs. In my game my American subs have a habit of challenging Japanese merchants on the surface, and the vicious little marus are fiting back hard. Three went down fighting and I have three battered subs limping back to port!

Aint this game the "bees knees"?
