What will come first ? My money is on starwars in December 2015. No patch in nine months.

Could not agree more. Support for ipad version has been poor to say the least.

Work on Armaggedon has consumed the team more than was expected, but they have expended their size somewhat and I believe that there are plans to solve the last few remaining small features missing from the iPad version. Unfortunately I don't have a solid timeline though.

Cheers

Pip

Well that is sad mr.P. The most expensive game ever for the iPad gets no support. I pretty much said the same thing to the great big and ever empreesive Mr. I on slitherine and he banned me. I'm sad and disappointed as I spent $80 on this game as YOU PROMISED this would be the same game as PC version and I can tell you it's not. If you say the advanced features are small missing parts go ahead if it makes you feel better. Truth is there should have been a major patch for this game a year ago. You did release a hick up patch three days after it's release and the March patch that fixed the higher difficulties. I know when you say no timeline it really means not going to happen soon or ever. Good grief!! DISAPOINTED!!!!

I will think twice in future before spending the sort of money panzer corps cost on future games. Feels a bit like slitherine have taken my money and done a runner.

The iPad version of Panzer is based in gameplay that has been tried and tested over 3 years of patching and refinements so all the patches for the PC version have improved the final iPad version. As there are no major issues in the current version there is no immediate need for a patch, though I understand the desire to have time spent continually updating but we have to be realistic. The team will come back to Panzer Corps once Armageddon is complete but there is a very strict deadline and they are working round the clock to meet it and have been since January. Patching Panzer Corps actually put Armageddon way behind schedule as it took much more time than had been allocated for it so if anything we've done a lot more on Panzer Corps than we expected to, not less.

There are more plans for PzC but at the moment we have a contractual obligation to get something else done first and no flexibility. Thanks for your patience.

Why then did Rudankort, moderator for this forum, post that a new patch to include the advanced missing features was implemented and would be out back in June?

"A number of missing features in iPad version, including Advanced options and Combat Log screen, are already implemented, and the patch should be coming your way somewhere this month. Stay tuned."

With your ambitious porting of games to iPad, perhaps a bit of thought should be given to your communications as loyal buy it out the gate customers like myself do feel mislead on the initial advertisement and subsequent delay or canceling in getting same game features on iPad as is available on PC.

If some features are not worth your developer time to port say it from the start. You haven't done this and I have a sour taste in my mouth and a hesitancy going forward to buy your ported games based on the initial PR advertising done.

I am sitting on a new copy of CTGW for iPad, see there is a loyal supporter with loads of ideas and fixes for future enhancement/fixes, and wonder now how long before your "contractual obligations" stop any additional work on that title now that it is out and the initial revenue gain is past.

well i don't normally comment on heated debates, but tbh nobody patches games like matrix does, or test for them either, end of my post / comments, from here it's read only here...

Totally agree. I commend Matrix for the frequent updates. I like to be current but to be honest, most of the time I'm not even aware of existing bugs the updates are fixing.

kverdon -> RE: Starwars VII OR a patch for panzer corps? (3/22/2015 4:33:21 PM)

Are there still plans to issue the IPad patch that will allow custom difficulty to match the PC version? The lack of that ability has caused me to remove PC from my IPad. I enjoyed playing on the IPad but the lack of custom difficulty made the DLC campaigns very unenjoyable after 1943. Last we heard that was going to be in the patch for the IPad but the patch got shelved due to Warhmammer obligations. With that now out of the way is there hope that we might see the promised IPad patch?

I agree. Someday we will get everything. I still play this game often. There is no other game ever made for a tablet that has mor dlcs than this game.

Because things change. That was the plan. Then another directive was issued.
Happens all the time in business. I am very disappointed it did not get fixed and I don't even own an IPAD.

I'm sure your kids were very disappointed in plans that you changed.

Good News is Armageddon is the same engine and they are making money.

Best news is they have found ways to improve the next version of Panzers Corps series.
