WarHunter -> Lost at Sea (9/4/2014 9:00:31 PM)

Transport is lost to the program. Should be 3 at sea in the China Sea.

Shows up as at sea in "units in game".

Probably the same problem I am having with transports that have vanished.

New Public Beta must have introduced this.

In my case a Japanese transport has disappeared and a US transport has disappeared but has left the 2nd Marine division floating around at sea!

I am sure Steve will look at these regression bugs soon - he will start on naval bugs coming week.

dhucul2011 -> ANOTHER! (9/7/2014 2:31:04 AM)

The UK Liner with a South African unit has lost somewhere. It shows as a unit in the game (moving) but has completely disappeared.

A French transport with the Dakar militia has also disappeared. The game shows it as a unit in play but once again......poof!

MWIF is now no longer playable with these bugs that are eating my transports and units. If I have to wait for another beta release I really give up!!!!!

Actually this has been reported back in June.

Seems to have become a feature in the latest beta patch/update.

Either this became worse because of bugfixes, or as most supply/production bugs are solved people are not blocked by them and run into this more.

You have a superb memory, sir. Impressive. Steve already mentioned it was not a new regression. I am pretty sure he will fix this soon (although I should not try to forecast anything regarding this project).

BrianSchick -> RE: Lost at Sea (9/10/2014 9:22:36 PM)

I have the same trouble on impulse 2 of Sep/Oct '39 Global War. I can move the CW TRNS from Plymouth to the North Sea just fine, but if I try to load any unit from the coast, the TRN get stuck in the sea hex (not sea box) I clicked on, and show up as in the 4 box.

I'm going to revert to 1.2.0.7.

I have discovered that if, when I am moving a naval unit that is going to load from a coastal hex, I click on the sea box that it is supposed to be going to, rather than clicking on a random hex-dot, things work. Yes, this is strange, but I have found it very useful.

dhucul2011 -> RE: Lost at Sea (9/12/2014 5:24:14 PM)

Yes, I tried that yesterday and have been able to get through several turns now without a problem with disappearing transports.

Hopefully this workaround is good until the new Public Beta.

Very strange, it's almost like MWIF doesn't lose the transports but the map or interface does somehow.
