Does anyone know where it is determined what ships and how many will be generated by each race at start-up. When I start a game I get a 7 exploration ships, and I prefer to start with about 4 and add to them as I develop technology. Can this be modded?

This looks like it should be in the modding section.


But to answer your question, try changing

ExplorationPriority ;1 (In the Policy folder)

to a lower value if it's greater than 1.

I remember changing it to a high value and my spaceport produced like 7-8 at the start of the game so I lowered it back.

Thanks, will give that a try. In any event I can just scrap out any that I don't want. Appreciate the info.
