ORIGINAL: bloodybill Hello there. I've been playing this game by PBEM with a friend for a while now. Rule 17.2.1 states that in 1943 if one side or the other has 4 times as many VP's as the other that the game ends. Does this take place in the beginning of 1943, and is there a way to continue the game despite the automatic victory conditions being met? My opponent is very good and in one of our first games had reached the automatic victory conditions in May of 1942. We are about to start another game and it would be disappointing to have the game end at the beginning of 1943. By the way, this is a very good game. Rather addicting as well. bloodybill, I'd encourage you to go on past May 1942 in your future games, even if it looks like autovictory is assured on 1/1/43. Your opponent didn't reach the automatic victory conditions in May 1942, because there *is* no autovictory in May 1942. It doesn't get checked until January 1943. Just because the Japanese player amasses a 4:1 lead in May 1942 doesn't mean that he can hold that for the balance of the year. See what unpleasant surprises you can spring on him to slip him at or below a 3.99:1 ratio. [8D]
