Hey guys, Have been reading some posts recently where, you have been berated for not fixing this, or that, or removing this, and or that. Well... For whats its worth, id just like to give you guys a bug thumbs up! :) Geez how you maintain composure, ill never know! IMHO, you guys have busted your butts for a long long time for zip,nada, zero dollars, Well i just wanted to say thanks. And to all those who may read this ...remember, We all have gotten this great game for free!! and these guys have busted butt!! Lay off the crap. They deserve better...

Bob Wallace -> (3/25/2001 7:33:00 AM)

On behalf of David Heath, Mike Wood, Paul Veber, and the rest of the hard-working people at Matrix that have been involved with SPWAW (in no particular order) Thank you. it is always far easier to complain then it is to express thanks (at least it seems that way)... so I am sure they will be heartened to hear that all their work is appreciated. Bob

Rhodan -> (3/25/2001 7:34:00 AM)

I'll second that motion (for what it's worth), if it would have been able to give all of you who are involved in the creation and evolution of SPWaW a standing ovation I would have done so long ago. Your technical skills are only surpassed by your patience. Now perhaps we can return to having some plain simple fun? Just an idea. Rho

BruceAZ -> (3/25/2001 7:43:00 AM)

I will third Rho's words of "Well Done, Matrix!

Don Doom -> (3/25/2001 7:59:00 AM)

What has been said here is a gross understatement! I DARE anyone to find a better Group of people than the one's at matrix. Hell they put up with my dumb questions and stay calm,[God only knows how they do it :D ]. May Matrix and it's group of Great People be around for a very Long time. :D :D

Tim McBride -> (3/25/2001 10:33:00 AM)

In the time I've known David Heath I have found no one more devoted then him. He's a great guy; always been helpful to me. _Tim PS: I just started playing SPWAW and am really liking it. Good job to everyone that developed it.

chief -> (3/25/2001 10:40:00 AM)

To Matrix Staff may I had my "Bravo Zulu" that's the Navy's flag hoist for "Well Done".

AmmoSgt -> (3/25/2001 11:57:00 AM)

Yeah you all do deserve a big thanks .. for the game and the forum .. I know i argue alot .but hey I enjoy argueing about this stuff ..and i know argueing is a horrible thing ..but God help i love it so ....I think ( and I assume ) everybody argueing just wants the best game to be better even if we don't all agree ... all we all see stuff differently .. but the game does get better every time ...

Latka -> (3/25/2001 1:26:00 PM)

Reg -> (3/25/2001 5:18:00 PM)

You gotta agree that they are one great bunch of guys who seem seem to have endless patience in putting up with us and our endless demands. Thanks for everything guys, we appreciate it, Reg.

USMCGrunt -> (3/25/2001 5:29:00 PM)

While I can't speak for the rest of the builders and testors of v5, for myself, I would like to say, "We who are about to collapse, salute you." (Anyone know what the Latin for that would be?). Seriously though (I always seem to say that.) I would just like to say thanks. It really makes this whole venture worthwhile to know the SPWAW community is supporting us on this. Now, back to my regularly scheduled testing before Wild Bill gets the leeches out again.

I couldn't agree more. I truely want to send these guys some money. I check every day to see if the order page is complete. I know much of it is meant to be constructive, but sometimes I think the whining could be toned down a little. Matrix is a VERY generous business enterprise (socialists please note) --not a branch of the entitlements office. Take a deep breath folks, honestly.

panda124c -> (3/26/2001 2:38:00 AM)

You guys are doing an increadible job. And deserve only the highest praise.

Ryne -> (3/26/2001 4:21:00 AM)

This is the only game 'company' I've ever dealt with who have gone the extra ten miles to put quality into their product---FOR FREE! I can't wait to give them money.

Randy -> (3/26/2001 4:25:00 AM)

To all the members of Team Matrix I want to thank you guys for turning out such a great game especially for free. My check book is waiting for your first product. I give you guys a hearty Marine OOURAHH! Semper Fi Randy :)

ruxius -> (3/26/2001 5:26:00 AM)

well , I would summarize in this way : SCR ! Simply , Clear and Ready : ...20$ ...SPWAW5.0 ...MEGACAMPAIGN and a solemn promise for Combat Leader... Ruxius there where you ask !

Paul Vebber -> (3/26/2001 11:23:00 AM)

It really means a lot to hear your support. Thank You! From the whole Matrix Team!

Alf -> (3/26/2001 12:26:00 PM)

A lot has been said about the great support from MATRIX (and all it's staff) and my english is not good enough to praise MATRIX any louder as it was done in the posts above and before on this forum. So all I can add is "THANK YOU" MATRIX for endless hours of joyfull gaming (and painfull waiting for the next release :) and the next campaign and...and.. so on whatever you are always doing for us gamers) So what's left for me, is to send in my small financial contribution a.s.a.p. and carry on praising MATRIX outside this forum. Bye Alf

chaos45 -> (3/26/2001 2:49:00 PM)

You guys are doing a great job, and I greatly anticipate many of your upcoming projects.

JNL -> (3/26/2001 5:21:00 PM)

Add my $.02 worth (and bump this message as well). Working in the IT industry is a lot like working for the Police. Nobody calls the Police to report that their car was not stolen. The customers (public) expect that their car will not be stolen - and are surprised and indignant when it is. No one calls programmers/support/developers to tell them that their product is good - we expect it to be good - when find a problem we are surprised and indignant - we call/email/post to complain. Such is the nature of the IT industry. This is not to bash those that pick nits and sow discord. Some of the best discussions I've read started as a "Why can't/won't I/it do (fill in the blank)? Constructive criticism is good - sometimes it gets a little out of hand - but this forum as a rule is the most informative and objective I've ever cross across - I'm sure those that lurk and those that post would agree with that. So, without further adieu. Best Damn Game I ever got for nothing. I'd make a good argument that SPWAW is the best damn game I ever got period. My thanks to WB, Paul, and all the others. I'm gonna name my next dog Matrix

davidmiller -> (3/26/2001 8:23:00 PM)

Well Matrix, I failed to see you listed for any acanemy awards, even tho I think you should have taken the whole kaboodle. You boys have got my vote and support wholeheartely, and you will get my money when you start releasing your games. I can just picture Wild Bill stirring up the cauldron devising new ways of frustrating us. You boys are going to have to break out your pigging string and tie him up before he goes beshirk. (Thats OK Bill, just keep the herd milling). Say, can you boys include a Italian English dictionary using pictures??? My own English is not the best. I've got to prepare for an assault from the Mediteranum area and I can't find a boy in these hills who speaks Italian. My inteligence staff are only limited to a six pack a day. Thanks Matrix for a great game and keep up your good work.

If you just said: "We who are about to die, salute you" it would be much more easier.... :D Anyway, where in this hell is my latin book?!? You're guilty of this, gentlimen, how do somebody expects me to clear up this thing when I can make one more turn of W@W instead?!

Joaquim, I know it would have been easier, it's Morituri te salutamus. That's why I asked what the other would be.

Wild Bill -> (3/27/2001 3:10:00 PM)

I hope that all of you are aware that one of the supreme motivating factors that keeps us going is this kind of response. We have been blessed with a wonderful community out there who patiently supports our efforts. Having been involved with the Steel Panthers Games since 1995, TGN since it started and now as a part of Matrix, I've been in touch with a lot of people. I've heard a lot of voices, some crying for blood :eek: This forum, however is refeshing and invogorating, at least for me. At the end of a long day working on this Mega Campaign or designing new scenarios for this and other games, I come here to get a moral and emotional boost. You fellas never let me down! Thank you! Wild Bill

Just a little correction:it's "morituri te SALUTANT" and not "salutamus" :) As for the translation of "collapse" I'll revert later :rolleyes: : my last translation from Latin took place almost 20 years ago :( :(

bill_k -> (3/27/2001 11:56:00 PM)

All I can say is, "a job well done Matrix". Some people are hard to please, best to just ignore them.

kutalik -> (3/28/2001 12:11:00 AM)

Not much more to add than ditto. I mean heck where else can you acuire a hobby so cheap and a robust game that you can take apart and play. Kudos.

Nikademus -> (3/28/2001 4:48:00 AM)

to quote Bevus.... You guys rule.....YOU RULE!!! :D
