I loaded your files and they work fine for me. When you get that error about unable to build force exit out of the game, delete any files generated except for your .ccd file and try again.

Usually no more than 3 tries are needed to resume your game.

Hope this helped[:)]

I use to hate those errors until I realized time passed with each error so I was more likely to get additional replacements. It made it more tolerable to get them but it does shorten the Campaign.:)

You can edit the date in the .ccd back to any date before a completed mission happens if you want. Just make sure you delete any .cpn files first.

I stay away from editing. I tried to do it once and ended up re-installing everything. I know my limits and they are really far from editing files! :)

Here are the top lines of a typical .ccd file.

A
B0810011 The Fall of France
I Battalion
8 0 2 1 1 0 1
400510 400604 400510 0 0

Line 5
First group of numbers is the start date of the campaign.
Second group of numbers is the end date of the campaign.
Third group of numbers is the current date. As long as no mission has been completed on 400510 you could change back to hat date if you generate a mission you don't like.

This info is for anyone who may not know already. The real experts are somewhere else.[;)]

Tidavis,

I have these files:

Montgomery OLDER .cpn
Montgomery OLDEST.cpn
Montgomery.ccd
Montgomery.ccx

Montgomery.ORG

So, I should delete all files except
Montgomery.ccd and try to run again?

Do I keep the .ORG?

I think you keep both the .ccd and .ccx files. But I hope one of the experts will chime in.

"Do I keep the .ORG? "

You can if you want.

When you generate a new mission the org file will update anyway. If you delete the org file it will generate a new one when you start a new mission.

The .ccx is a backup file that really serves no purpose at all. As soon as you generate a new mission a new .ccx file will generate as well.

Seeing is believing.

Start a new campaign. Generate a mission and start it. Exit out. Delete everything except the .ccd and start the campaign again.

You will see all those files back again.
