grudge -> CinC, Supply, Breach Forts (9/17/2014 8:23:36 PM)

Hi mates,
I`m trying to play TEAW by hoovering over all the icons (Mouse over/ Tool Tip). (So one Tunr in a hour, cause it's not Blitzkrieg)

What means CinC? (Hoovering over a leader's "Fertigkeiten")

Does the supply work? (I play easy supply off.) But dont know how to pick up with the waggons
! I want to pick up ammo (not supply) for the transport to the frontline, even if I don't have YET there "Big" Art.

Last, but not leat: How do I breach Forts? Just Artillery? And if they breach, All Out Attack? Whats your Experience how to handle the posture?

Thanx
cu

Well.....

Supposedly, ammunition is a little bugged. Having said that ammunition means ammo for heavy and medium artillery. If you have neither of those in your formation, then 100% supply means 100% supply for your small arms. Now, when you have artillery, you need ammunition to say a percentage greater than zero. I personally have never seen ammunition other than 0% or 100% but I played easy supply in my 1st game.

You have to create wagons for supply. And munitions trains for ammunition supply that can be carried with the formation. But if you have unbroken supply lines and they are close to a depot or a level 3 city that is in the chain of supply, you should be supplied. Once supply wagons are built, you can then move them as a regular unit to your formation, providing it does not go through any enemies that can catch it. To pick up ammunition supply build ammunition trains and get them to your formation. Check out supply levels, though, if you are at 100% then you are probably being supplied by the supply lines.

CinC means Commander in Chief. He should be the overall commander of your front.

Sieges and breaches. Yes, artillery helps to breach walls, and the more you have the more it helps. Also, some commanders have the siege ability which helps to breach the walls. Also, specialized units like engineers and pioneer units also add to sieges.

When walls are fully breached and I have at least a 3 to 1 advantage (sometimes I rethink if it is only 3 to 1), I'll all out attack. It has to say walls fully breached and they provide no defensive bonus to the defenders. If partially breached, and my units are activated, I will many times put them just on offensive action so that they fight anyone coming into the region, or sortying, or whatever.
