baboeska -> Google-maps like search feature (9/18/2014 2:57:19 PM)

I was just looking for some obscure countries's, and would really like to see the ability to search for a country and have the globe reset looking at it :)
What are the odds of this happening?

Thanks :D

Not likely at all as there are unfortunately better reasons for us not to do it than to do it. Do appreciate you posting in though! Thanks!

baboeska,

A friendly hint to a new poster here .... and, by the way, welcome aboard!

Try re-phrasing your question in a way the development team will be more receptive to your request.

For instance, try this: "Hey Mike, how many cases of Scotch does it cost to get a Google-like search?"

He still might say no, but he'll probably think about it first.

Regards,
Feltan

How many case's of scotch would it take to know what the reasons for not doing that are...
Single or double malt? ;)

No drinks required on this one[:)]

1)Change doesn't improve the core functions of the game enough to warrant the time and effort.
2)There would be work to implement but also to upkeep as maps and countries change. Again big cost with very little benefit to the war game.
3)The import function does include folders with country names. When you import airbases, facilties etc into the game they are dropped on their correct location.

Thanks!

Mike

And from now on you'll never forget the name of that country since you had to look for it rather than just reading the screen...
Dang they should use CMANO in geography classes [X(]
