mb4329 -> [Fixed]B568 Anti-Radiation Missiles versus Ships Question/Issue (9/25/2014 12:38:03 AM)

I recently tried setting up a test scenario in Build 568 to work on some ASuW tactics and have a question on ARMs versus ships. I launched a number of HARMs against an OH PERRY class FFG as an initial test. The HARMs detonate over the PERRY and while causing fire and flooding damage don't cause any damage to sensors or weapons. Curious if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong? I have attached a save a few seconds prior to HARM impact.

Thanks,
Merrick

Merrick, what are the hit numbers looking like? Is the Perry using counter measures or decoys? I assume the Perry's radar is active.

Hey! Hope all is going well.

Yep, radars are active and the log files indicates there are hits with damage (minor fragmentation damage, blast damage, and sometimes fire and/or flooding). The hits read "Weapon: AGM-88C HARM#8 airbursted directly on top of FFG 7 Oliver Hazard Perry" which I take to mean the missile detonated per design and on target. I have run the scenario between 10-12 times and with good hits I was expecting to see some damage to weapons or sensors.

BTW, looking forward to the next update.

ALCON,

Downloaded the most recent update and things are good-to-go. Getting a reasonable distribution of results.

Thanks for all responses.

Merrick
