JMass -> Square counters (9/30/2014 1:46:57 PM)

How much interest could be raised by a square counters mod? Enough to complete it?

San Pietro (I used some graphics from the georgeous Telumar's mod for TOAW).

It is a very pity that a gem like this is not supported, it needs just some new scenario and some graphical improvement like png support...

Can you show a couple examples of the "from/to" counter examples? From what I see in your post the counters look just about the same as the counters from the game version I recently downloaded; flat and square.

For myself, I've always liked the early TOAW counters with their rounded edges and appearance of depth.

PS - Like the different terrains you have used in the samples.

JMass -> RE: Square counters (10/4/2014 4:55:44 PM)

Original counters are rectangular, 31x36 pixels, mine are 36x36. Counters with rounded edges are not supported by CC. In the image below I pasted three square counters on the original rectangular ones.

Very subtle, but now that you've pointed it out it does make a big visual
difference . . . excellent.

If you're taking wish list requests for icon upgrades, would like to see;
1) the existing machine gun icon "up arrow" overlaid on the infantry icon "X" and
2) the artillery dot fixed so that it looks more like a circle instead of an +.

Been out of the loop for a while. Has the icon update shown in post #14 been posted for public download?

Hi RhinoBones, the project is suspended for now, I am working on some Vassal modules.

rhinobones -> RE: Square counters (11/2/2014 4:31:40 AM)

I don't know what Vassal is, but I'm sure you will do it justice.
When time allows, please come back to the Combat Command Series.

Regards, RhinoBones

+1 Big fan of your mods JMass, and still playing this under appreciated game.
any update always keeps it fresh.

JMass -> RE: Square counters (11/2/2014 8:49:38 AM)

Zoom level 1 files are ready so I can release them, the mod is JSGME compatible. Please pay attention: it contains historical flags so it could be not allowed in some countries.

This game passed me by, or the other way round [&:], but this looks interesting. Last seen heading for the vault in search of credit card.

Thanks[:)]

sth1119 -> RE: Square counters (8/7/2015 1:56:20 PM)

JMass I was glad to see someone had looked into updating graphics for this game. As others have said this is an under appreciated gem.

I have reloaded it recently and will use the upgrades you have posted in the past.

I just wanted to say THANKS!
