Nielsvds -> Cracking noises when using mouse scroll wheel (10/2/2014 10:18:48 PM)

Hi,

I am a new player to warfare sims. But I do like playing simulators. I really like the depth of the game, the huge database, I do not regret my purchase of this game. You guys did a fantastic job. I still need to master this game. [:)]

I am using the Steam version build 570.
Whenever I use the scroll wheel of my mouse, I hear cracking noises during music play. It's worse when I move my scroll wheel very fast. But the strange part is that it also happens when I press the z key to zoom.

Could the sound issue has something to do with sample rate and bit depth of the speakers that is configured in Windows? For me it's 24 bits 48000Hz. Right click on the speaker icon in your system bar, open volume mixer, click on the advanced tab. I also attached my Dxdiag file.

Kind Regards,
Niels

This is a known issue, and has been the focus of latest test builds.
It seems to be fixed in the current one. At least for me, unsure of others yet.

Thanks for the report Niels.

We're running a fix through the beta group now and it should appear in the next update. No ETA on that just yet but likely soon

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Runibl,

Thank you very much for your very prompt reply. I first thought that it was related by using the scroll wheel, that was the reason why I posted it, because I couldn't find it mentioned in the other topics. Good to hear that it seems fixed in the beta build.

Kind regards,
Niels
